Javier Escandón

Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a specialization in Financial Law from Universidad de los Andes. Javier has more than thirty years of professional experience in Commercial Law and Financial Law, and is currently Managing Partner at Cavelier Abogados, where he also leads the corporate and financial law team. He has been Legal Manager at Banco de Occidente, Legal Manager and Leasing General Secretary at Banco de Occidente, Legal Manager and General Secretary of Banco del Pacífico. Javier has worked at various law firms as partner and associate. Additionally, he has more than 23 years of academic experience in national and foreign universities. During the last 13 years, Javier has been a full professor of the Corporate Law course and taught courses for the Corporate Law and Commercial Law specializations at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He also taught Commercial Law and Securities at this same university for an additional 10 year period.
